Volunteer Opportunities
Student Representatives should complete a minimum of 8 hours of volunteering per semester. or 16 hours in total. You have a range of different ways you can complete these volunteer hours, and we encourage you to pursue your interests and passions.
As a Student Representative, you have the opportunity to create your own initiative(主动权)or volunteer in initiatives organised by Student Affairs and Engagement.
Examples of volunteer activities you might like to work on include:
Academic activities: E. g. giving feedback to staff within your area of study, creating a student survey, undertaking research, attending a conference or creating a study group.
Health and wellbeing activities: E. g. volunteering for our Therapaws: Dog therapy program (online), creating a podcast or other resources to enhance the student experience.
Social activities: E. g. Creating a trivia night, Zoom catch-up or welcome night in your area of study.
Communications activities: E. g. Writing for our Student eNewsletters, creating social media content, designing graphics, producing videos or taking photos.
Fundraising and charity initiatives: E. g. Share the Dignity Charity Drive.
Student welcome and engagement activities: E. g. volunteering at Open Day, Info Day or during Welcome Week.
And much more! You can work on any activity that benefits the student experience in our community.
