Topics of the essays this year have been chosen.
* Fourth Grade - My favorite season
* Seventh Grade - How to be more healthy
Deadline
Each chapter (分会) sets their own deadline for receiving the essays. They need time to judge the winning essays for their chapter. So make sure when to hand in the essay. The chapters hand in their winning essays to be judged before June 1st, 2020.
Essays must be in English.
* Fourth Grade Essay-Word count should be between 500 and 525 words.
* Seventh Grade Essay- Word count should be between 800 and 825 words.
A minimum of four references are needed- no more than two may be Internet references. Research references should be listed on a separate page, but not counted as part of the essay length.
Cover page should include
* Name of the student and state whether Fourth or Seventh Grade
* Name of the school, address, and city
*Title of the essay
*Chapter contact person and telephone number
The winners will, be invited to attend the Saturday luncheon (午宴) and may be asked to read his/her essay at the luncheon. The winner will receive $500 and a medal.
