Dear Parents,
Welcome to 3rd grade! Thank you for entrusting your child with us this year. My goal for this year is to help your child to be an independent learner. I promise an amazing school year with you and your child.
Together with this letter, I’ve sent some forms for you to fill out. I need this information to learn more about your child. You can send them back to me (through your child) not later than this Friday, January 29th.
I believe that communication is the key to a successful classroom experience. Your child will bring home a daily planner for homework. My classroom blog(博客) (http://classconnect.org/rruiz/) is your window to our classroom learning. I do a weekly update so that you can know what we’ve learned for the week or check our lessons for the next week. Please check the blog to learn more about classroom rules this week. Be sure to talk about these with your child. I will go over everything again during our parents meeting sometime in March to explain more about these key points.
My door is always open. If you have opinions to share, just email me at [email protected] or send a note through your child. I also have meeting times during the day, so if you’d like to speak with me in person, please get in touch with the school office.
Thank you again. I can’t wait to get started!
