For perfect summertime reading, Jane Mosse’s recently published first novel ‘Barking mad!
Confessions (告白) of a dog sitter certainly fits the bill.
Based on Jane s own experiences of pet sitting both in the UK and Europe ( although she insists that the animals and owners featured are mostly fictional), it’s an entertaining, engaging read, and the perfect accompaniment to a relaxed, sunny weekend.
Follow Christine and her husband, Rob, as they travel around the country, staying in their clients homes and looking after their pets. From luxurious houses in Mayfair to humble homes in out of the way places, our fearless couple are never quite sure what to expect, and that’s all part of the fun.
The characters they meet on their travels — both human, canine ( 狗类的 ) , feline (猫类的) and more — and the adventures they experience— some laugh-out-loud funny, others more challenging — are what makes this fiction so readable.
