Saving Wildlife from Extinction
Anne Savage
Dr. Savage founded a conservation program to protect cottontop tamarins (棉顶狨猴) . She pioneered in the development of new technologies to study the animal in the Colombian forest. She also helped conduct a study that found only 7，500 individuals remained. As a result, the International Union for Conservation of Nature changed the classification of cottontop tamarins from Endangered to Critically Endangered, which brought the species to more people's notice.
