本单元写作要求是写信表达观点，即通过写信的方式就某个话题或社会现象等发表自己的看法或见解。写此类文章时应注意以下事项：
1．结构：一般采用三段式模式；
首段：引出话题，点明个人观点；
中段：分条阐述理由，其中包括给出数据、例证、反证或评论；
尾段：总结。
2．人称及时态：多用第一、三人称和一般现在时。
1．开头常用句式

近来，关于……是否……进行了热烈的讨论。
②Having read your article concerning ..., I am writing to express my opinion about ...
读过关于……的文章后，我想写信表明我对……的观点。
