In February, the WNBA felt confident, raising $75 million and valuing itself at $1 billion. The prize pool for this year's Women's Championship is $16 million, doubling the value in 2017.
One big change is that several big rightsholders, including FIFA and World Rugby, now sell sponsorship rights for women's events, separately, rather than connecting them with the men's tournaments. __5__
